Red Sonja

Red Sonja is a character from Marvel Comics. Originally the female counterpart to Conan The Barbarian, she has grown in popularity and had several of her own comic series and movie adaptations. Sonja grew up in the steppes of Hyrkania. When she was a teen, a group of bandits murdered her entire family, burned down her house and brutally assaulted her. The goddess Scathach appeared to her broken soul and gave her divine power to take her revenge on the condition that she can only love a man that can defeat her in combat. And so she became Red Sonja, the She Devil of Hyrkania.
