Ren Sohma

Ren Sohma is Akito Sohma's mother, and Akira Sohma's wife. She appears only in the manga, and is, to quote Kureno Sohma, "a little ill, both physically and mentally." Ren is a rather disturbed woman who bears an obsessive and overly possessive love for her husband. She suffers from mental illness, and it becomes prevalent when she gives birth to her daughter, Akito. She holds jealousy and contempt against Akito's connection towards Akira, and feels replaced as father and daughter continue to spend more time with each other.
