Riina Tada

Riina Tada is one of the idols available in THE iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls and THE iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls Starlight Stage. She is voiced by Ruriko Aoki. While she is currently working at an unnamed talent agency in Cinderella Girls and SHINY FESTA, she is affiliated with 346 Production in the anime. Riina is a Cool idol who advertises herself as a rock idol. Always wearing headphones and with deep admiration for the rock-scene, she aims to become the very definition of a rock star. However, Riina lacks musical knowledge and experience with the genre, so she often comes across as a bit of a poser. Despite this, Riina’s commitment to becoming her ideal rockin’ idol self is strong. She admires and looks up to Natsuki Kimura, and wants to become someone like her. Riina doesn’t like portraying a more feminine image at first. She says she'd prefer a purely rock star aesthetic, but she can't help herself and gravitates towards more cutesy looks. In more recent cards, she's started to come closer to the rock star image she loves; even learning to play guitar under Natsuki's tutelage. Initially having Riina admire Natsuki, both of them developed a very strong and mutual bond towards each other over time and are quite often seen together. Despite her reputation as a poser, Riina often takes her idol work very seriously. When challenged with singing a ballad instead of a typical rock song in the "Idol Challenge for Two: Aim For A Cool Music Video" event, Riina begged Producer to let her keep re-recording until she had achieved the best vocals she could. In the same event, Riina frequently mentions that she aims to "surpass herself". During the Love∞Destiny event in Starlight Stage, Mayu Sakuma described Riina as extremely dependable when working with people who need her help, but with a tendency to act spoiled when paired with those more diligent than her. Riina lives with her parents and seems to have a very close relationship with her family. Whether she has any siblings is unknown. In a Puchiderella line Riina mentions that at school she is fairly reserved, and she wants to her passionate side as an idol. Riina has confirmed that as a student, she is the type that crams before tests and then forgets the information afterwards. Riina has been shown to be very insecure about her lack of guitar skills and often worries that she cannot become a real rock idol because of it. Even so, Riina always comes to understand that with the power of her straightforward enthusiasm and determination, she can still be rockin’. Riina uses formal speech with Producer and other idols who are older than her. Despite this, Riina did not address with Producer with "-san" until her fourth set of cards in the original game. In Riina’s final Puchiderella episode, Riina states that she started calling Producer "-san" as a sign her respect and trust in his ability to produce her.
