Sage

The Sage is a recurring Vocation in the Dragon Quest series. Proficient with both schools of magic, they are often the most powerful casters in their respective games. The original sages were depicted as ascetic monks wearing tattered clothing, where as the ninth game altered the profession's design to resemble scholars of high academia.
