Sakurako Sano

Sakurako has long black hair and eyes, sharing characteristics with both of her sons. She ties her hair up into a ponytail, and is only seen wearing a hospital gown. Sakurako only appears in Mikey's flashback. She is only seen in the hospital as she is bedridden. Mikey visits his mother weekly, mostly telling her about how he beats up other kids his age. He also asks her about his father if he ever cried in front of others. On her death bed, Sakurako tells Mikey that not crying makes him strong. Rather, he also cried a lot as a baby. Three days later, she passes away from succumbing to her illness.
