Sayaka is a Spirit World inspector sent to determine whether Yusuke Urameshi was a suitable candidate to be returned to life. Sayaka looks like a small girl with blue hair and blue eyes. However, considering how her superior Koenma appears in his toddler form and his actual age, it is possible that Sayaka is indeed much older than she appears. Sayaka is one of the few characters in the series to have different roles in the anime than in the manga.
