Windows 7 is an operating system first released on July 22nd, 2009, and to the general public on October 22nd, 2009. It built off of many of the same features introduced in Vista, upgrading them and improving them to be more stable. Windows 7 also introduced multi-touch support, an updated shell, and the HomeGroup networking system.
