St. Louis

St. Louis was the lead ship of her class of light cruisers, which in turn was a modification of the Brooklyn class. She had one sister ship, Helena. St. Louis was briefly assigned to the Atlantic Fleet, before going to the Pacific Fleet. She was in Pearl Harbor during the attack, where she shot down three Japanese planes and survived a torpedo attack by a midget submarine. This was only the beginning of her career. St. Louis would earn a total of 11 battle stars during World War 2.
