Subaru Suruga is a supporting character in the series. She is one of Ai Hayasaka's friends at Shuchi'in. Subaru has long black hair and hazel eyes. She wears her Shuchi'in school uniform modified to match up with kogal fashion. Subaru enjoys talking about romance that she wasn't afraid to ask Kaguya Shinomiya about the nature of her relationship with the President. She considers herself and Mirin Hinokuchi to be Ai Hayasaka's closest friends, as well as guardians. She gets competitive when she realizes Kaguya is closer to Ai than she thought, trying to outdo Kaguya in how well they each know her.
