Sugimoto Saichi

Also known as Sugimoto the Immortal, he is the main protagonist of Golden Kamuy and a war veteran. Sugimoto is a kind but incredibly ruthless and brutal man plagued by the war. Sugimoto's foremost traits are his survival instinct and brutality. He never intends to die and is incredibly violent during a fight. When he has identified an enemy, he fights to kill and aims for the quickest, most brutal way to do so.
