Suzumi Ishikawa

Ishikawa is a lifelong devout wrestling fan who has dreamed since childhood of one day becoming an active part of the wrestling world herself. Immediately after leaving school she joins World Women's Pro-Wrestling where she meets fellow rookie Thunder Ryuko, and they become inseparable thereafter. However, their aspirations of climbing the ranks in World are abruptly terminated by the rapid decline of World itself following Dread Miyagi's defeat at the hands of Panther Risako of New Japan Women's Pro-Wrestling. Capitalizing on Ryuko's rise to fame following her matches against Mighty Yukiko, Ishikawa co-founds WARS with Ryuko, sending invitations to their former fellow World members such as Chelsea Hada and Hikaru Ogawa. Ryuko and Ishikawa are one of the tag teams invited to the "Strongest Tag League" battle. Over time, WARS is built up into one of the most prominent promotions besides New Japan, with members ranging from New Japan veteran Hikaru Ijuin to juniors including Mami Sawanobori, Hiyoko Kusanagi, Miyuki Sanada, Kazumi Fujiwara, Tsubasa Nomura, Mai Nagasawa, Maiden Sakurazaki, Melody Kobato and SA-KI. The size of the latter group is a result of WARS's emphasis on cultivating new talent. Ishikawa is an intellectual genius of the highest caliber. Her ditziness outside the ring merely reflects the extent to which she focuses all her mental energy on wrestling (which is what she thinks about even when doing other tasks). From the moment she enters the ring, she observes every tiniest detail as it occurs during a match and can process this information inside her brain at high speed to predict what will happen next before it actually happens. Her corner advice to teammates on her card at has turned around innumerable critical situations to avert defeats or clinch victories. She also applies this ability when she herself is wrestling, so that for a power specialist she moves unusually softly and fluidly, relying on perfect timing to maximize the impact of her attacks. The contrast between her style and Ryuko's despite a similar moveset is a main feature of their highly effective all-power tag team known as the "Ryu-Suzu Cannon".
