Taiga Tsugeura (柘浦 大河) is a first-year student at Furin High School and a member of Bofurin's Vaisravana Unit. He is considered to be one of the strongest of the first year class. Tsugeura is a sporty teenager, optimistic, loud and very enthusiastic, and it all culminates in his apparent naïveté. He doesn't hesitate to help others, and is very keen on making new friends. However, his energetic demeanor often puts off both strangers and peers alike. He can also show a one-track mind, often working out in odd situations. Tsugeura is very casual and even touchy with others. Whenever he meets a new potential rival, he often tries to find out their "virtue", a trait that defines them. It can be assumed, as the chapters go by, that his own virtue is to protect others.
