Taomei

Taomei is the wife of Gaoshun and the mother of Maamei, Baryou, and Basen. She was a wet nurse to the Imperial family, and now serves as a lady-in-waiting to Jinshi. She is a minor character in The Apothecary Diaries. Maomao describes her face as "stern but quite beautiful". She is blind in the right eye from an earlier injury, resulting in two differently colored eyes. As a "masterpiece of a woman", Taomei is considered to be scary and terrifying by her husband and both sons, often compared to a predatory animal. She readily trades quips with Suiren and Chue.
