Tera

Tera was part of a Speaker group that settled in Russia. The group was eventually hunted down by the forces of Erzsebet Báthory. Tera managed to escape, but she later ventured to Báthory's dungeon to try and rescue her family. When she arrived, she saw that most of her family had already been tortured and killed, with her younger sister having been turned into a vampire. Not wanting her sister to go through such fate, Tera mercifully killed her, fleeing at Báthory's arrival. She then fled east, eventually settling down in France. The local Abbot helped her adjust and the two began a relationship, eventually leading to the birth of Maria. Tera is a middle-aged adult woman of Eastern European descent with fair toned peach skin, shoulder length wavy blonde hair, green eyes that her daughter Maria inherits, and visible age lines on the corners of her red lips. In terms of local Parisian wardrobe, Tera wears a black dress with long sleeves,a violet brooch in the center of her collar, a brown underbust/corset, a blue layer around her hips and brown heeled boots. In her youth, Tera wore the Russian variation of the Speakers garb and had her pin-straight hair up in a ponytail as well as a white hairband over her crown. Tera is compassionate, home-minded, yet strong-willed. She is very protective of her family and enjoys managing household duties, yet still despite her softer nature, she is capable of wielding powerful magic and joining the younger generation in their clashes against vampires and other creatures of the night. She's not afraid to stand up to fight and also cares deeply for the world beyond.
