Tsukimi Kurashita

Tsukimi Kurashita is the main female protagonist of the Princess Jellyfish series. She is an otaku girl with an obsession for jellyfish, who lives in Tokyo in a rented house with some eccentric friends she met online, and she wants to become an illustrator. She is noted to be an awkward girl who is highly terrified of social interaction, attractive people, as well as the prospect of formal work. Tsukimi is a fair-skinned young woman who stands at average height with long black hair, that she usually styles in plaits, followed by large brown eyes, and freckles. Her appearance is noted to give her a demure and naive look. She wears red-framed glasses and is often seeing wearing plain, somewhat old-fashioned clothes that would range from a full-on grey sweatsuit to a knee-length navy blue colored skirt and a pink jumper with plain trainers. In stark contrast to her innocent looking appearance, whenever Tsukimi is shown to wear makeup or is fully dressed up, courtesy of Kuranosuke, she is shown to be an attractive young woman that garners the attention from the Koibuchi brothers on numerous occasions. Tsukimi is noted to be innocent, youthful at heart, as well as somewhat naive about the world around her. She is also shown to be kindhearted, an example being when she assists the other Amars with the daily task of shopping and cleaning. Outside of that, she would occasionally buy them small gifts from time to time with the money that she receives from her father. Much like the other Amars, she has an irrational fear of stylish people and will usually petrify in their presence. Aside from having the inability to be around the "stylish", Tsukimi also has a hard time when being around males. However, this fear is easily eased whenever her glasses are removed, due to both bad eyesight and just so she won't have to see them up close. Aside from her kind and youthful innocence, Tsukimi is shown to lack confidence and has extremely poor self-esteem towards herself, enough to where she'd constantly view herself as "ugly". Despite perceiving herself as "ugly", and that her initial fear of being judged and hated by the Amars, if she were to dress up fashionably like the "stylish", she'd prefer to look the way she is. However, whenever everyone is on board with dressing up as an "After", she remains clueless to the fact that she is fairly attractive. Outside of lacking confidence, her happiness shows whenever jellyfishes are involved.
