Wrench

Root and Wrench are in an abandoned city where the robots have accepted their death and want to await him in peace. The two robots have developed feelings for each other contrary to their nature. Their love for one another gives them strength to accept death and to expect it together. This human behavior causes disregard for strange robots, but Root and Wrench cannot be separated. Wrench is a rather calm and peaceful robot. She lives day in and day out with her partner Root in the desolate city, accompanied by her robot dog Friender. She hates suffering and destruction and therefore only wishes to be able to die in peace. She has long accepted death together with her great love, even if she fears it a little. When she meets Casshern, she asks him to take Friender with him. She recognizes the similar nature of the two and since Friender, like Casshern, shows no signs of deterioration, she does not want him to see all the deaths.
