Yuzu

Yuzu is the protagonist of the Konohana Kitan series. An innocent and hardworking country fox. She was raised by Bikuni, a nun with a rather extensive knowledge of things. Yuzu is a fox girl of average height. She has calf-length blonde hair; sticking straight up her head is a cowlick that is sometimes used to express emotion. The bottom edges of her ears have small tufts of hair sticking out where they meet her head. She commonly wears a similar color kimono to Ren, and like the others, she wears white tabi socks and magenta zouri sandals. Yuzu is an innocent and loving girl, one who holds compassion for everyone around her as demonstrated in almost all of her appearances to date. She is somewhat klutzy and a little naive, for instance having limited knowledge of urban events such as the Summer Festival. However, due to Bikuni's teachings, she can display a surprising wealth of human knowledge, typically able to provide advice when there is a person in need. In spite of her country background, she is also able to read and write, and is an erudite reader of the Kojiki (Record of Ancient Matters), the oldest surviving book of Japanese history and mythology.
