Zero is a killing machine created by Dr. Albert Wily for the sole purpose of completely outclassing and annihilating Mega Man. Despite the raw power that Zero had, he had flaws in his cognitive program which made him extremely violent and disobedient, resulting in him being locked in a capsule for decades until he was eventually found and awakened by a group of Reploids sometime before the first Mega Man X game.
