Synopsis

The events of Fortune's Weave is told from the journal written by Saint Cichol of Fódlan regarding The Underworld War. In the Dagdan Year 1454, Dagda has been ruined by a demonic invasion by the Demon God Balor. Sothis's song is heeded by a lone soul whom she is familiar with, who goes by the name Eshmel. Tasked with stopping the invasion, Sothis sends them back to Dagda in 1450 where they appear before Zenon and Fortuna, who provide them a Mediator body to fulfill their task. Four years later, their body is completed, but the demonic forces have left only a few remaining bastions of humanity. Arriving in the ruins of Dagsion, Eshmel sees four statues of the winners of the last Heroic Games. Though legendary in their performance, all four have mysteriously disappeared by the start of the invasion. During their first battle against the demonic forces, Eshmel witnesses the resurrection of the four heroes, now under the control of the demon king. Though they are able to defeat them and rendezvous with Fortuna, she believes that they will serve as the key to overcome Balor's invasion. She had constructed four obelisks associated with the dubbed Flame Lords and sends Eshmel into the past to Dagdan Year 1449 to guide their fates so they can be present for the fight against Balor.
