Mix Tou

Mix Tou is the daughter born from the union between Demon King Rance and the legendary witch Miracle Tou. She is a young doctor who on recent years has made outstanding contributions to medicine, which, due to the existence of Divine Magic, had remained a relatively rudimentary field. However, as the healing arts became scarce following the Divine Anomaly that made Gods and Divine Magic banish from the continent, the necessity for alternative forms of curative procedures greatly increased the reliance on conventional medicine, making her work unbelievably valuable. During her childhood, because Miracle was taking part in a number of dangerous adventures, she was put under the care of her more sensible grandmother. Unlike the rest of the Demon King's children, Mix hid the identity of both her parents in order to live a more quiet life under the pseudonym of "Milky Tea". She quickly learned about the primitive field and became a humble doctor on a small town called Shivaitsar at the Free Cities Alliance. However, displaying a brilliant talent for the medicinal arts, her genius rapidly allowed her to make multiple discoveries through research and experience, eventually becoming famous throughout the continent as a pioneer on the field. Wanting to improve it even further, she seeked help from her sister Reset Kalar and formed her own academic society on medicine, which has over a hundred participants to date. Once a small and unknown town, Shivaitsar became known as the Medical City for being the place where her hospital is established, where she has twelve apprentices working for her and around a hundred patients. Mix is a short girl with pale skin, red saggy eyes and long flowing ink black hair, closely resembling her mother's appearance when she was her age. Her basic attire also resembles her mother's, sporting a gothic knee-lengthed dress and a white lace-bonnet. On top of it she wears a doctor's coat, but because it is larger than her own body she can't fit it properly and it looks closer to a long coat or a jacket. A very blunt person, Mix is not a very approachable girl, being easily irritable and displaying a generally anti-social behavior. She's grumpy and gloomy, with with her demeanor giving the impression like she's always uninspired and exhausted. She dislikes unnecessary social interaction with strangers, which makes her unfriendly and even rude, as well as being slightly short-tempered and impatient when dealing with others. She dislikes using honorifics, insisting others to call her simply "Mix" and not using any honorifics on others herself, frequently correcting and getting irritated when her siblings call her with the suffix "-chan" or with other nicknames. She also rarely ever smiles at all, and when she does she tends to hide it from others. Above all, Mix desires a peaceful and uneventful life without getting involved in any large incident or in her mother's eccentric affairs. She's annoyed by her parentage, causing her to hide her identity as one of the Demon King's children to save her the trouble it would entitle, as well as distancing herself as far as possible from the Tou family that she isn't exactly fond of. She doesn't get along well with her mother, who she dislikes for her eccentric attitude and tendency towards acting how she pleases with little concern over her wishes, as well as getting her involved in all sorts of abnormal situations she would rather be out of, making their relationship a rocky one. Miracle describes her as her foolish yet beloved daughter, and while her disposition towards her is usually affective and cozy, her selfish nature and quirky personality makes Mix to be far more hostile towards her. Miracle claims that Mix was "poisoned" with "common sense" when she was under her grandmother's care, something that she finds dull and uninteresting and regretting the idea of allowing her mother to raise her. In complete contrast, Mix is very much thankful for having been raised by her grandmother, who she considers closer to her than her own mother. Despite her complicated relationship with her mother, Mix still holds some level of affection and attachment to her, relying on her for advice and even calling out for her in hopeless situations. Mix shows very little interest in most things but medicine is her one true passion. Even though she's talented on multiple fields that could have potentially excelled at, she's completely uninterested and unmotivated to do anything else, focusing exclusively on studying as a doctor. Despite being extremely highly regarded as a genius, she's very humble, keeping a low profile and describing herself merely as a regular town doctor, completely underselling the amazing medical facility she's established with a worldwide reputation. She doesn't think of her skills as anything special, stating that she was just doing what she wanted and everyone started exaggerating her accomplishments. Even though her dull demeanor doesn't show it, she takes her work extremely seriously and is very strict with her patients, often stressing to keep them in line and making sure they diligently follow all her instructions. Due to her knowledge and experience she's very sharp about noticing when someone is sick or is starting to show symptoms of illness, and will treat them immediately even if she has to force them. She sees all injured and sick people as patients, as she believes that nursing people back to health is a doctor's purpose. Regardless of who they're, she will provide medical treatment to anyone equally, even if it's her former enemies. Naturally because of this mentality, she's largely indifferent about making a profit, bluntly refusing Zance's invitation to set her hospital in Leazas, who offered 5 and 10 times as much as she currently earns in Gold. When not working in her hospital, she spends most of her time studying or researching, even at night. This causes her to be sleep-deprived which, even though she's more than used to it by now, might have accentuated her irritability and low-spirited mood. She's burdened by a strong sense of responsibility that she hides from other people. Because humanity has relied on Divine Magic for so long, its sudden disappearance has bursted a necessity for the Medicinal arts to improve in order to replace it, making Mix develop a feeling of obligation and duty. On top of her constant studies, she also has a long-term ambition of remodeling the human body so that it becomes immune to all disease, ageless and that can't die or deteriorate. The moments when she's talking about it is one of the few instances where she's visibly excited and thrilled, going into long speeches describing her ideal and making her look slightly deranged in the process, with Nagata-kun describing her as a Mad Scientist. Because she hid her identity as one of the Demon King's children, she wasn't acquainted with most of her siblings, as she wanted to avoid getting dragged into their adventures. The only exception to this was Reset Kalar, her older sister, who has helped her on more than one occasion and manages to get on Mix's good side thanks to her friendly and charismatic personality. She is on decent terms with her siblings El and Rangi but she doesn't get along with Zance at all and frequently clashes with him if they ever interact due to his egocentric and thoughtless nature, though she generally prefers to avoid interacting with most of them.
