Ruby Tōjō

Ruby Tōjō is a witch from the Human World. She resides at Yōkai Academy as the board chairman's aide and continues to work for him in the second manga serialization. Despite not being an official student, she receives permission to become a member of the Newspaper Club as an adviser. The anime omits the presence of her master or the inclusion of her parents, drastically changing the events surrounding her, including the reasons behind her return. Despite being a witch from the Human World, she resides at Yōkai Academy as the board chairman's aide and continues to work for him in the second manga serialization. Despite being an advisor, she does not give orders, being one who prefers to rather take orders and do as she's ordered to do. Ruby has long black hair that is put up in a variety of ways depending on the situation. However, she mostly keeps two ponytails on each side of her head and lets the rest fall naturally. Like Tsukune Aono, she has black hair in the manga but brown hair in the anime, but unlike Tsukune who has dark brown hair in the anime, her hair is light brown. She has what appears to be pink eyes, varying from manga to anime; more as orange-scarlet red in the manga and reddish brown pink in the anime. She also has fair skin. She has pin-straight bangs covering some of her forehead, and two pieces of hair fringe or bangs framing her face near the cheeks. Ruby wears Gothic clothing similar to Akasha Bloodriver (Moka Akashiya's mother). Her usual outfit includes a pink corset, a long black skirt with frills at the end and high-heeled black shoes. She takes part in a variety of activities in Capu2 and there is a "long story" to each one. She wears a variety of clothes then. In the original manga which came before the anime, she sported a red strapless corset rather than a pink one, and had dark-colored "half-gloves" that are barely arm covering with pre-ripped-designed holes in them, and go to only part of her hands through her middle and ring finger on each "glove". She also wore a metal "clothing supporter" or "top holder" that worked for her corset top mainly to keep it from falling down, perhaps. Her corset also reveals some cleavage. She possesses several bracelets on her arms and wrists. She is also the only Newspaper Club girl with nail polish, having long red nails that sort of appear to be a manicure. She was also the only one to wear lipstick. Specifically bright red lipstick. In the manga colored book-cover, the outfit she sports is slightly not dissimilar to her usual outfit. She wears a white-to-cream-colored completely-strapless corset as a top, with black lace or hem at the top above the bust for fashion appearance, which the corset had a typical corset pattern of straps between the belly area and breast area with buckles to hold it altogether. She also sported more revealing black gloves, a ring on her left middle finger, and a metal (perhaps silver) chain around her wrist to perhaps act as a bracelet. She sports several pearl beaded necklaces in her book cover look. Originally she held a hatred towards humans when her parents were killed in an car accident while the family was vacationing. Ruby was originally part of a plot to destroy mankind as a response to a large garbage dump polluting her mistress' sanctuary. However, after meeting Tsukune and the others, she has foregone this trait and even turns against her master. In an omake, the reason Ruby works under the board chairman is so she could be near Tsukune Aono. Ruby also has a crush on Tsukune and has stated that she is his 'toy'. She is very loyal and generally seen as being sophisticated and proper, and having the credentials to fill in as a substitute teacher. According to Ruby, she lives to take orders from others as she is seen doing what others have told her to do. Whether it's a plan or a simple task, she has never been seen coming up with ideas on her own or ordering others around. Well, it was to Tsukune she said this to, so she might have been just trying to get him to command her. Apparently, Ruby has shown that she is a masochist and the biggest pervert of them all during a training exercise for Tsukune to control his yōkai power and her swimsuit, which consists of barely more than a string. She shows to have a large number of perverted traits which, aside from deriving sexual gratification from pain, generally involving her being tortured by Tsukune in various ways. Under the influence of Lilth's Mirror, Ruby acts in a very perverted manner such as stripping in front of Tsukune and when not under its influence she openly declares herself as Tsukune's toy. Because of these traits, Ruby is largely treated with skepticism whenever the possibility of indulging her masochistic arises.
